From a Mr Clean post on Sailing Anarchy.

"I just got off the phone with the man himself, one of the most influential waterman in history. The father of the modern surfboard and the man who revolutionized catamaran design and construction, Hobie is a legend that spans across vessels, disciplines, and sports.

I first started thinking about Hobie when fuel went through the roof - the same economic issue that may have helped Hobie Cats get so big in the 70s. I thought he might be able to give sailors and industry insiders some perspective on the past and future of sailing. It's taken me a couple of months to track him down, but today he agreed to answer the Anarchists' questions on tape. If it's good enough, we'll post the whole interview, but since it will probably be really long, it will probably end up as a written story."

Jeremy, you might want to change your response on the Sailing Anarchy link. It's not clear to which post you're responding, and you probably don't want to be associated with the post before yours. But if you did respond to the post before yours then you must know Hobie Alter's wife better than we thought.

Sweet. Thanks. Another post snuck in there before I had a chance to figure out what was going on. Clean contacted me about 2 months ago about talking to Hobie and I thought it wasn't going to come together. I primed him to keep it...well...clean. We'll see what happens. I'd hate to have to roll up on him;)

I do have a slightly offensive question to ask though. Not sure if I will. And it's definitely not about his wife!
