I'm replacing my trap return shock cord and I have two cords - 1/4" and a thicker one, don't remember how thick, but I can still fit it in the hooks.
Which one should I go with?

1/4" shock cord is standard replacement.

Current H16 production is using 5mm.

Try the MURRAYS Marine black shock cord It is the best I have ever found I agree with Matt on the size I tried to use some real thick cord
bigger is always better but not in this case It did build my legs up

Buy them prefabricated with the Nexus closed hooks. The cheaper nylon snap hooks become disconnected easily.
