 Post subject: Tramp Post Bolts

After my first run with my used Hobie 16 I noticed that the tramp post bolts had cracked teflon nuts. I replaced these with stainless nuts and lock washers. Will this harm anything?

Just don't crank down on them. Too much torque and you'll crack the castings.
