Drive well strengthening kit

According to my dealer, the warranty does not transfer with the hull. Which is it? I looked at the warranty and I don't see anything about the warranty not being transferrable. I'm starting to get a llittle upset. I'm told that the strengthening kit was not for the Revo. Well guess what? If you look inside my Adventurer and my Revolution, you cannot see any difference in design. If there was a problem with these things breaking on the Adventurer, why didn't Hobie beef up the Revo so this wouldn't happen?
Roadrunner, is the stuff that you used the same as the kit provided by Hobie? Looking at your picture, I can't imagine it having sufficient strength. However, it seems to be working for you.

If a dealer tells you otherwise, you might look for another dealer.

The product I mentioned has nothing to do with Hobie, nor does Hobie endorse it. If you have better options, by all means use them. Your success with a project like that is not guaranteed.

All pre '09 drivewells look alike, but there is a difference. It's in the cam screws and a brass insert under the nose of the drivewell, neither if which are directly visible. I believe more material is also used in the drivewell area. They have a way of doing that. That doesn't mean it's foolproof. One of the reasons for the transferable warranty IMO is if someone sells you a bad boat Hobie will still take care of you if within the warranty period. Pretty nice deal!

Thanks Roadrunner. I should have known to check the search functions. I've been using forums for many, many years. However, it's easy to let your emotions get the better of you. I should have known that a company with a great reputation like Hobie would do the right thing. I understand from my dealer that the warranty on both boats will be honored.
