Well i used 2 hands.
I havent been on here in a while but thought id post some fun pictures. This is my 3rd summer sailing. The one with the girl trapped out is my girlfriend and that was her first weekend ever on a Hobie. We are going to race at the mile high regatta next month. I dont have a comp tip, a hobie regulation tramp, and we dont meet the minimum crew weight but i figure what the hell, who's going to contest our last place.

I love it too! But that sure looks like a lake...

All I know is that when I sail in my local lake single-handed, it's survival sailing (at best) because of the unpredictability of gusts and gust directions. It's the gust directions that are the real problem, because they tend to hit you at about 90 degrees off the steady state of the wind... bad place to get hit with a 25 knot gust when you only have 170 pounds to hold the boat in the lake! Dumping the main and steering into the wind is not enough most of the time to avoid the inevitable.

Thankfully, on July 4 I'll be sailing in the salt where the wind is steady and predictable!
