The outback is not much different than a WS 135 when it comes to paddling. With the rudder down you can get a fairly smooth glide with the stroke and rest pattern. Take the mirage drive out and paddle say for one mile and you will see with experience what I am trying to describe. Good Luck

With the Angler. I'll be offshore, and it the Mirage breaks, I don't want to paddle it. The entire Mirage unit price is $460.95. That's a good bit of money, but its a small investment when compared to being stuck in the Gulf of Mexico. I suspect the chances of a problem are minimal, but I would rather spend a few hundred more and greatly increase my safety factor.

That's my plan, and I'm stickin' to it!! :D

Also remember that fishing with braided line you will a greater chance of the line cutting the fin under your yak then loosing the whole MD.
