Does the boat (h16) need to be square? After lacing up my new tramp I ask this question. Am I over thinking this or what!

We do check square when tensioning tramps.

If not square, we pull the long dimension past square by tying a line between bow and opposite stern. Then tension the tramp before releasing the line.

Thanks I am not crazy! My boat looks like the starbord hull is back 2 or 3 inches. Thanks for the fix.
