How do I tell which version of the Mirage Drive I have? I just purchased my '09 outback (verified '09 hull with serial #) but I'm not sure I got the most recent drive. I've seen photos related to the new mirage drive lanyard that shows the "latest" mirage drive with a spot on the front side of the drive where the lanyard can be attached and I don't have that on my drive.

Has anyone been having problems with the plug that goes in the mirage drive opening? Both of the pegs to go into the retainer clips are half torn out and I've never used the plug.

if you have the newest version of the Mirage drive you will see the brass inserts in the sprockets and it actually has "V2" on the sprocket.

I just purchased an 09 Revo. My mirage drive does not have the hole cut out for a mirage leash, but it does have V2 printed on the sprocket shaft. Is this still an 09' ?????? Thanks, Lisa

The "V2" sprocket is an '09 feature. Regardless of what it says, the brass insert shown on the sprocket on the right here is the '09 version:

If the hole in the spine came from Hobie it was probably a recent "running" change. Most users just drill their own hole near the front of the Drive to accommodate a leash.

So yes, you have the '09 Drive. 8)
