We are coming to southern Cal. in Oct.
Does hobie give tours? Is there much to see?

If they know you are coming, and you make arrangements, they are usually glad to give you a tour.
When I went to San Diego for the 40th, we took a run down to the factory on Monday and were treated to a tour.
It was a wonderful experience for someone like me that has been buying and sailing Hobie products since 1980.

Thanks to Matt, Greg, Jacque and the rest of the Hobie staff for a very enjoyable tour.

Give the factory a call (760) 758-9100 and ask. Best not on a Monday and the factory does 4 x 10 hrs shifts, so closed Friday.

Thanks for getting back to me. I live for my hobie! Would I get to meet "The Matt Miller" in person? I would love a tour, Thanks.

I can certainly identify with your short canuk sailing season! Especially up here da Michigan's "UP" (North of most people in Ont.!!) on Lake Superior's S. Michigan Shore. Thank God I finally found some friends way down there in Panama City, FL (& Beach) that love sailing in the "Winter"! That's where I will be again this Winter, and where I first became a "snow bird"! Love it!

I've been sailing 16's since stationed in Boston way back in '72 on the cape. Came in 3rd in 2nd Cape Cod Regatta... Sail # 728... (THAT'S RIGHT... ONLY 3 DIGITS!!!). Also sailed at Cresent Beach while in FL while becoming a "Gator" in Gainesville @ U of FL after coming back from "Nam" in 69. Now they call me a senior captain here on the cruise boats, but all that means is that I'm am old man (71 yrs now ) that loves to drive boats, have fun (and sail!!)! Pictured Rocks Cruises, Munising, MI Chuck :D
