A hobie buddy of mine just picked up a nice '81 H16 and is getting it into better shape. I sent him to a Hobie outlet for some parts and he came back with this rail kit. I think that this is for a different boat, an H18 maybe. The 2009 catalog has a picture of the neoprene rail kit that looks like this and then says (H18 kit shown). Just trying to confirm before I send him 50 miles to return this part. There were no instructions or paper work in the open plastic bag that the kit came in. Thanks for any help or confirmation.

Looks like an 18 kit based on the cut-outs for the trap bungees and shroud. Also the separate short sections. The 18 kit has three sections for each hull. A 16 kit would only have one section for each sidebar.

He could probably get it to work by cutting it to the proper length (it is only rubber afterall). Otherwise send it back and get the right kit.

Wrong kit. Get the correct kit it's less money. The labeling is kind of funky, easy to grab the wrong one.
