Can anyone tell me what is included in the Rail Reinforcement Kit Part Number 64130001? I assume it is the update to the forward crossbar bolted mount, to include the brackets with the four each through hull bolts. If so does it include four brackets (and hardware) for the inside and outside bolts for forwarded crossbar?

Similarly, does the Shroud Anchor Plate Kit Part Number 64100001 include hardware?

as it happens I bought 64100001 just this spring. It includes 2 (TWO) anchor plates and 8 (EIGHT) bolts/nuts/washers. That is, enough to do both sides of one hull at one corner cross bar attachment point. The bolts are Phillips head not slot as the original ones I removed had.

I was very happy with the part. It fit perfectly and I was able to use the same holes for mounting it.

Sorry I don't know about the other part.

hardware comes with both kits but each are per hull kits, you need to order 2 to get everything for both hulls inner and outer and both sidestays. Its easy to install and more than worth doing. My old 18 even had the crossbar brackets on the rear via extra portholes. She had cracked under the lip at the rear. That boat was t-boned in a race and scraped, insurance bought the one I ride today.

I purchased and installed 64130001 (Rail Reinforcement Kit $60.50) earlier this year. Kit consisted of 4 anchor plates and 16 bolts, nuts and washers. Easy instulation, do the suggested fiberglass reinforcements on the "80s boats before you install the kit.

6410001 (Shroud Anchor Plate Kit $32.20) will do both shrouds with anchor plates, nuts, bolts and washers.

I'll be doing this to an '82 this weekend. What is the recommended fiberglass reinforcement?

I just did this last weekend ,one of my customers is Composite One corp.Their tech set me up with high quality 18 oz and 9 oz bi-directional roving and I used west sys. 205 (i think) epoxy and hardnr.I was told to lay the lighter 9 oz really flat and rolled out with the heavier 18 oz over it a day later. It is a trick to get the roving flat, the roller worked ok but I found that bare hands works better. You can feel the fabric better, but it is a one handed job.

I have the SX with the cracked lip at the rear crossbar. Should I use this kit with the anchor plate after finishing the repair on the crack?
