Six Months in a Leaky Boat is a fantastic song - maybe the ultimate sailing song, but it had the misfortune to be released just as the Falklands war broke out, so no DJ's would give it airtime in case it seemed to be in bad taste.

Love those lyrics Moo. The old sea shanties are best...! Bought the soundtrack to Master & Commander" hoping that it would include the songs sung by the crew but it did not.There might be a CD that has some `ol shanties(sp) or maybe I`ll have to find some 78`s?

I know little of Austrailas history. Read a book about her being a prison colony way back when. And recently a beautiful book called "Shantaram"-partially non-fiction by a man who escapes prison in Austraila to make a new life in Bombay. Great book.
