...because by boat HAS on just like described 2 posts up.....

it's working fine and I've sailed it REALLY hard, 2 folks trapped out, 3-4 foot seas, TRYING to keep the boat from heeling too much....

new jib.... some delam on the original mylar main.... downhaul cranked on hard... no issues (yet)...

... will get a spin in a year or two once I think I've got my head tuned into the boat as it is....

all right.. so far it seems you are the first to convert 18 to 18sx mast . i would love to know the whole story..thanks payne

Have you found a solution to your mast problem ? I have a brand new SX 18 (brand new mast along with it) that I'd be willing to part out. Another member is interested in the wing set. Shoot me an email to [email protected] if interested.
