Hey guys , i have recently bought a cheap H14 , but don t know 3 things .!
1 What is my type i have a dolphin strike and the mast when i put it up was really raked back to overkill ?
2 how to use a jib furler as the one i replaced doesn t have a ratchet in it so how do i furl unfurl etc ?
3 I took it out in 25-30 knot winds to stress everything to the max as it had sat in a shed for about 3 yrs , I then snapped the port sidebar 60 metres from the boat ramp in burnett river ,my question is Once undoing the tramp and removing bolt from rear cap how do i prise the port corner of the tramp supports up and off so i can slide the sidebar back in etc . I may sound like a novice but i owned a windrush 12 yrs ago for a number of years but never came across this issue please help ???!

I have no idea what you're taking about. What is your type? It doesn't make any sense.

Pull sheets to unfurl. Pull furler line to furl. There is no ratchet.

I have to say that wasn't particularly smart (taking it out after 3 years of sitting "to load it up"). You pretty much guaranteed you were going to break something.

If you loosen up the trampoline, then remove the tramp bolts, you can get one of the corner castings up off the pylon. Then slide the sidebar off and install a new one.

You don't sound so much like a newbie as an Aussie posting under the influence.

The whole idea of taking it out alone was just that ,to stress it to the max so i could start replacing parts that were old and needed replacing ,better that than having a couple of friends on and things going wrong . Why do yanks think us aussies are under the influence .
In regard to my type is my 14 ft hobie a standard hobie , a turbo , or another model etc .
