Well I just finish a couple of weeks here on West Maui and brought the new tramps over from the mainland. I was excited to give em try. The girlfriend loved them, she just laid back and cruised. The weather was perfect for her, warm, slight breeze and the ocean was flat, not the usual west maui day, usually the trades are up and by 11:00 am it's 15 to 20 kts. The tramp installed in a couple of minutes, I got the girl on the boat and jumped up with one knee on the tramp and "pop" the buckle snapped in half, I'm over the weight limit. I sailed a few days in the usual 15 to 20 kts and had the sail reefed to about half. I did notice the wind did want to catch the tramps and give me a roll over but with the sail reefed and I hiked out when needed everything went really well. This is a great addition to a great little boat however I would move the paddle stowage up to the outer edge of the tramp to make the tramp more usable.

I noticed that, but never did actually flip, even without being hiked out. Been thinking about adding a grommet near the carry handle for the ama, and lashing it there to keep it from catching so much air.

I have been strapping the paddle to the clew, put a little keychain carabiner on the end of the sail lash strap, and just wrap the line below the paddle, but above the rubber ring. Bracing the other end against my thigh to make a quick and simple spinnaker pole rig for downwinding.
