Hi,

What are the EXTERNAL dimensions of the frames on the H14 and the H16? I mean the aquare frame formed by all four crossbars. I have to get a tarpaulin to cover it for the winter. Thanks,

Paris.

Roughly 8' x 8' for both (14 is a bit smaller).

Get a tarp that covers the whole boat - 10 x 20 or 20 x 20.

I buy my 16 covers from Menards, they sell a heavy grey PVC tarp that fits good (12X20)and far outlasts the cheap blue covers. You will pay $80 but it will hold up my years and look good too.I use plenty of 3/16 line to tie it down to the trailer.Buy three 50' lines and cut them in half, makes lacing them very easy.Be sure to remove your rudders, just lay them on your tramp. Also keep your main halyard and jib halyard out of the sunlight to protect them too.Place some kind of padding on top of the mast to protect your new tarp from all sharp edges like your main halyard catch, your mast tang.your rear mast caddy and anything that could rip your tarp.Try to end up with your cover not forming some kind of pocket for water and ice to collect in.Good luck...Bill 404 21 SE
