At any rate...I don't think the black fiberglass sticks are worth anywhere near the money they charge for them. Considering the amount of torque they get, the cynic in me believes a hollow inner rod is just planned obsolescence. I probably don't even want to know what they get for a carbon fiber unit.

After sailing I take my stick into the shower and really clean it out. Especially after ocean sailing. Hot water really seams to help. I never put any kind of lube on my stick.
