We have a 24 foot monohull and thats how i learned to sail, but after being on a hobie 16 once on vacation i was hooked and bought my own, now i rarely go out on the monohull, but thats only because we live on a lake, if i were close to the ocean i think that i would enjoy both equally!

Easy, you are not Sailing the same boat as they are therefore you are stupid.

It is the same in Surfing, Shortboarders hate Longboarders, also in Cycling the Road Racers hate the Mountain Bikes and both despise Recumbent bikes.

In Flying, Taildragger pilots have more skillz while those with Tricycle Undercarriage are still using "Training Wheels".
(The last one is TRUE, Lol.)

We are all doing the same thing on the same water but we cant help forming, "Tribes", that separate us.

I dunno man, I thought it was more in jest than anything.

I'm a sailor. I'll pulls sheets on anything with a mast that I can possibly try.

And probably do pretty good with it, because I'm a sailor.

As you get older you realize that the "clicks" never really meant anything. You'll find that what the other guy does, or doesn't do has nothing to do with you. He's got the same freedom of choice that you have. He's only an issue if he attempts to take the same from you.

Then he gets 100% of your focus :)

Other than that, laugh at his funny mistakes, clap when he gets it right. Give advice if it's wanted or needed (if you are able).
