Hello, Not a new topic at all but a confusing one. Read posts and internet hits on serial numbers and their meaning but I am still unsure of the age of my boat. My serial number is CCMB4702K78 thats it. Same on both hulls. Seems to be missing a number at the end of the string as everything I read leads me to believe the format is CCMB4702K78(X) The K is the month Oct or November, if the letter I is or is not used. The 7 would be the year of manufacture and the 8 the model year? Is that 88? All suggestions welcome. chris

Looks like it could have been built in 1987. The CCM"B" part of it is more current, so not likely a 1978 model.

Thank you Matt Miller. I was hoping you would reply and put it to bed quickly. Again, thanks. Chris
