It’s only December. Five more (long) months until sailing season again.

Well, we don't have the snow. Its actually a beautiful sunny day here. I could sail if I wasn't a wimp, but I don't own a wetsuit and the water is fairly cold. At least our cold season isn't nearly as long as yours. In no more than 3 months I can be out sailing with just my swim trunks on.

I'm am going sailing today. Ill take a few nice pics so no you can imagine your there. The high for today is 73 with winds at 10mph. San Diego is a nice place to have a sail boat or any boat any time of year. Poor me the low was 57 last night and I had to close the window.

Just because you have snow dosen't mean you have a monopoly on the winter blues. :(

Temps in the mid to upper 70's but uncharacteristically, no wind. Well, there is wind but it comes up late in the day.

What Dave Said, our closest lake is Frozen over and I am not driving 2 hours each way for a day sail.

The first photos made me want to cry, so sad. I'm from Sk. Canada were we have a four month sailing season. So now I'm in MEXICO for six months!

24 hours and 22 inches of snow later.....................

This just is't normal for South Jersey. This is a 100 year record for December snow here.

We're in for a long winter.

By the way, I cleared the snow off the cover 3 times during the length of the storm to prevent weight buildup and damage to the hulls. A good idea for anyone in the snow belt who can't store their boats inside.

This isn't normal for Long Beach either. There are a few sailors here that look forward to the winter for it's Pacific storm value.

A nice DECEMBER sail. Temps were in the 70's and the wind really picked up around 3:30pm. Id say 13-17. But with wind like that I can't single hand the yacht and take pics, these were from earlier in the day when the wind was 5-10 mph.

Nice pics, J.D. Sailing in the middle of Dec. with just a t-shirt was a real treat. It was good seeing you out there yesterday. My wife and I should've stayed a little longer. The wind started to pick up after we brought our boat in. Still, no complaints here.
Whale watching season on our Hobies starts in a few weeks. We'll see you aut there.
