taking out my 4 and 5 yr olds out on the outfitter at once

Hi I am almost sold on the outfitter actually have one being held for me..... I will most likely be taking my 4 and 5 yr old sons out a lot on it and want to take them both out at the same time.... Does anyone do this? Any thoughts suggestions? Any pics of your setup would be great....

I have had an outfitter for 2 years and really like the versatility. I only use mine for fishing, most of the time offshore and solo but occasionally i'll have a passenger. The outfitter will hold enough cargo for two men to fish all day so I'm sure the two boys would have enough room. I would plug the front peddle hole with the hobie plug then tape it off with duct tape (from the bottom so its smooth) and put a towel on top so dry, cushy and roomie up front. Dont worry, you can peddle those kids around all day by your self, no problem. Behind the rear seat I use a milk crate with a soft 30pack cooler that fits inside the crate, then i can use a bungie or two to strap dry bag or two on top of that.

When I'm solo i use a large plastic bin all the way forward and a hand bilge for a bait tank, then the cooler, then a custom (jerry rigged) portable fishfinder. Putting all the weight forward helps keep the yak "trimmed" and smooth when solo (i estimate i roll with about 100-120lbs or gear when the bait tank is full)...i have no problem doing 4.5mph on calm water with this configuration and I usually cruise around in light chop/wind conditions at around 2-3mph with little effort...and I can fish longer than all day, generally covering 10-14 miles fishing offshore (la jolla) in a 8-10hr day. I'll try to post a pic of my solo setup (the yellow yak). I hope to do a full write up on rigging options for the outfitter soon.
