If you go to espn360, you can watch the replays of the cancelations and hear how the commentators think it's sad that the boats aren't racing. It seems like the wx condition window is to small to conceivable start a race between these two "boats".

The commentators said that the reason they didn't race in bigger swells was because the little judging boats wouldn't be able to keep up with the race. Even in todays smooth conditions they looked like they were going 'hell for leather' trying to keep up with the action.

Great race finally two multi's in the cup! I think our 88 cat was faster than the cat in this race.

AC has gone down the tubes (for now) but at least this is a proving ground for pushing the ultimate technology. That wing is the future but how to de-hoist it in the back yard :D

How so? The way I see it the cup has finally come to its senses and are raceing multis , that are faster and more fun to watch, I loved watching Dennis smoke that idiotic mono in 88.

Little Wing, I like the Big Wing. :P

As far as AC goes, its not in the spirit. It's now just two rich guys and the one with the bigger wee wee wins. Specifically too much money= not enough boats= sponsors leaving= low viewership/PR for the sport plus ya can't race unless it's perfect wind and wave conditions, races won in court and races that are not even close. I am the first to be glued to the feed though as it is amazing. That wing will be on on all racing boats in the future. Airplanes started with fabric wings.

Bring back AC and the Connors/Jobsons. Move this "race" to the X-Prize don't you think?

I agree with you on the money but when hasn't money been the driving force of the cup? Look back at the 88 cup, imho this is when the big buck thing came to the front with Fays boat , Dennis had to whip him with the WING cat so the wing is not new, just very good design. I do not think the cup should be one design.

That was cool to watch. Congrats BWM/Oracle. Both of those crafts are awesome.
Maybe Hobie will offer a carbon wing option on the next Adventure Island? LOL.

Sure. Get Ben Hall to design and build you one. Get Daisy to sign the checks.

I think the first part will be way easier than the second.
