2015 Hobie 16 North American Championships - Catamaran Sailboat Racing

Racing continued on Pensacola Bay for the fifth and final day of the Hobie 16 North American championships. The weather pattern that has controlled the region all week continued, with winds at 6-9 knots. Three additional races were completed.

2015 Hobie 16 North American Championships - GUA Champions - Jason Hess and Irene Abascal

In the gold fleet Jason HESS/Irene ABASCAL (GUA) successfully defended their title as North American Champions with a win in 2014 and 2015. Jason and Irene were also the gold medalists at the 2015 Pan AM games in the Hobie 16 class. Past North American champions Francisco FIGUEROA/Jolliam BERRIOS (PUR) finished in second, followed by 2015 Pan Am games silver medalists Mark MODDERMAN/Grace MODDERMAN (USA) in third.

2015 Hobie 16 NA Championships - Silver Fleet Winners - Adam Atherton and Diane Bisesi

In the silver fleet, Adam ATHERTON/Diane BISESI (USA) finished first followed by Kat PORTER/Caitlyn FROEB (USA) and Jim SADJEK/Tina PASTOOR (USA).

This was our largest Hobie 16 North American Championships since 1999. The Hobie class is growing and we want to share the fun, come sail with us!
