The 2018 Hobie Predator Open will be held from June 22 – June 24 in Stad aan het Haringvliet, NL. After the successful editions in 2016 & 2017 it found its way back to the tournament schedule.
“It is a great venue and even a better fishery.” Gero Priebe says about returning to Jachthaven Atlantica. “Anglers have a place to stay and direct access to an amazing fishing area of the Haringvliet”.
Last year’s HPO gathered 50 kayak anglers from around Europe to the Haringvliet. Leo Pegels took the win and with it he qualified for the Hobie Fishing Worlds 7.
From Marina Atlantica in Stad aan het Haringvliet, the Netherlands, anglers will have direct access to the great fishing area of the Haringvliet. There daily target will be 1 Pike, 3 Perch and 3 Zander during the competition. Whoever catches the most centimeters of fish wins the Hobie Predator Open 2018 and a spot on Team Europe for the Hobie Fishing Worlds 8 including an air ticket voucher. Anglers must be fishing from a non-motorized vessel. Kayak, canoe and SUP are the only permitted watercrafts in this event. Sails are not allowed and only one person per vessel is allowed. Entry fee for the event is 50,00 EUR.
