The Netherland is again going to be the host nation for the 2nd European Hobie Island Rendezvous. The Grevelingemeer in the south region of the Netherlands will act as the event water. From the 4th to 5th of June 2016, sailors from all over Europe can join us for camaraderie, sailing and fun! The event will kick off with a sailing trip on Saturday morning and will be followed by a lunch sponsored by HKE in one of the harbors on the lake.
A sunset BBQ at the Zeil en Surfcentrum Brouwersdam will be waiting for the sailors on Saturday night. After a good night of sleep (the sailors are free to stay where ever they want, but we have prepared some options for them) the sailor will go out to spot some seals on a nearby sandbank on Sunday morning! The collective lunch will close the morning trip and the official part of the second Hobie Island Rendezvous.
Event Organizer Pieter Overwater: “After the huge success of last year, we had to go back to the Grevelingen again for this years edition. We just have to cross our fingers and hope for the same weather conditions as last year to make the European Island Rendezvous a success again.”
