How exactly does one go about fixing the hole in the Jib?
I really can't say I know. Your best bet would be to find a local sail loft to do the repair, then you would know it is repaired correctly. I know there is sail repair tape available from several websites, but I cannot attest to its strength or durability. Try West Marine online.
edit: On second thought, I just don't believe a sail repair tape or kit would do the trick. If there is not a loft near where you live, then remove the battens, pack her up and ship to a loft for repair. I believe it would be money well spent in the long run. A correct repair may last years. If not repaired correctly, the jib would most likely not last long forcing you to find another one at a consiberable expense. Of course I could be wrong. Maybe others will chime in that have had similar issues.
