Great day out on Sunday. Thanks very much to The Sailing Scene for organising the trip.
Saturday was the wettest April day in 10 years. However Sunday, despite a few grey clouds, was reasonably warm with gentle winds. More than enough to move us along without too much pedalling.
After egg and bacon breakfast on the foreshore at Balmoral we set sail out of Middle Harbour and around Middle Head, dodging a few ferries and into Sydney Harbour proper.
After a reaching Rose Bay Kerli took the tinny up to the sailing club looking for stragglers. With none found the fleet rounded Shark Island and made for Watson's Bay for lunch on the beach. Usual questions from bystanders but this time we could just point people to the The Sailing Scene guys. After a bit of a feed and coffee we headed off again toward Manly Harbour where Kerli had parked himself as a navigation mark. Couple of us went for a small play in the swell rolling in from the ocean between the heads then made for Balmoral Beach again.

Mate, pretty much perfect weather. Bit of sun, decent winds, lumpy stuff to play in and the harbour mostly empty of traffic.

Only downer was the mayor didn't clean my car...

Beautiful photos!
We went on a Ulysses Club motorcycle ride to the historic gold mining town of Walhalla that day and although the weather was perfect and the scenery superb, we couldn't help but think how nice it would be to be out on our Hobies
Hopefully we will get up there and join you on one of these outings in the greatest harbor in the world

I totally agree the photos, especially with the Heads in the background, are beautiful and dramatic at the same time. Chris looks like he is about to turn it over in one of the photos. Well done Cows for the presentation mate...Pirate

Some awesome photos thanks David! The one of me out the heads does look a little hairier than i remember it being....??? I prefer to think of it as being flat and calm when i am out there.... :D :D :D

When i finally work out how to not be completly computer illiterate, i will upload a few of the photos and videos that kerli managed to get from the rescue boat

Cheers again for the photos!

:D Fabulous shots. Made me feel sick in the stomach  that I just couldn't make it!
In retrospect I was a goog and should have waited till after the BIG DAY OUT to do my Mods. Isn't it such a cow how these type of jobs ALWAYS take longer than you estimate even with an overtime allowance.
I'm really looking forward to the next outing. Anyone have any ideas of a circuit?
Cheers, Peter
