Hello Fisherman:
I live in California near Lake Tahoe. I would like to buy a Proangler 17. My wife wants to come along and I have a 75 lb dog so I need the big boat. I want to buy the Proangler, a trailer, livewell, fish finder, some other accessories, and a motor. Basically, a complete boat. I can see the purchase pushing $10,000. As such, I would like to finance it. Anyone get decent financing for your kayak? Also, do you know a dealer in California, Nevada, or Oregon that sells both Hobie kayaks and Honda outboards. Honda has a financing program (4.99 %) but you have to buy the kayak and the motor at the same business. I would also consider other areas in the US but then I have to pay for shipping too, and that is getting expensive. Thanks for the help. David
I also ordered PA17 with same reason of wanting to bring my wife. I'm also thinking of installing an outboard which is not designed for this kayak as we definitely cannot continuously pedal. But having second thought whenever I see a beautiful 15 skiff with Bimini for summer fishibg..which is light and can safely give us a wider fishing platform. so my Q is why people so crazy with PA17 including myself... hehe..The only thing I can think of is of course way lighter to transport than a 15 skiff and can let me enjoy and exercise...hmm .. does not sound right...I have a Free Gym membership at work..why include exercise to my fishing objective.. can Someone share to me their reasons why the willingnes to spend this much money. What's your justification?
