You know how when you are sailing when there isn't a whole lot of wind and you encounter somebodys wake, the mast will yank against the shrouds in a way that can't be to healthy for the hardware? Well, today I figured out that if you pull on one shroud (take up the slack basically) during that situation, it eases that snatching action, making it more comfortable for me and passengers, and less of a shock on the shrouds and their attaching hardware. I'm sure all of you know this already.... I'm a newbie! My question is, is there a change I should make to my rigging that would help out this situation, or is there some add-on bungee gizmo that people use to perform this? Thanks!
