"The TransparentSea Voyage" is coming to California.

Encinitas, CA
August 21, 2014 2014-08-21 2014-08-21

You may have remembered the film “Mind’s in the Water,” which highlighted ocean conservation and Hobie Island sailing. Well, the long awaited follow up film by Director, Justin Krumb is here, “The TransparentSea Voyage.”

This 2nd film continues its tradition encompassing (Hobie Island) sailing, surfing, whale watching and ocean awareness in an enriching ocean conservation documentary. Experience the voyage from start to finish as the crew trace the southern migration of the California Blue and Gray Whale from Santa Barbara to San Diego. The documentary highlights the efforts of a group of gifted athletes, musicians, celebrities and artists on a campaign aimed at focusing attention on coastal environmental issues. The soundtrack by The Band of Frequencies is even more unique as the band was present for the whole journey during filming. These musicians vowed to write a song a day to emphasis the issues at hand. The Band of Frequencies will also be in California to play a live performance the same night. So come and experience both film and music, not one to be missed. This first of many showings in California will take place at an iconic San Diego Theatre along the Pacific coast, in Encinitas’ own well known Surf film venue, “La Paloma.” This evening will also be a S4C fundraiser (Surfers for Cetaceans (S4C.)

There will be two showings on this evening; 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Contact Justin Krumb for future showings or if you would like to have a private screening. You can email Justin at [email protected]
