When Gail recently retired after 30 years with the local school system, the grandmother of five celebrated the occasion in style.

Since 2007, the family had enjoyed fishing and playing on North Bay, Bay County aboard her husband’s Hobie Mirage Outback. What better than to expand on the fun?

She invited her family over at 3:00 pm on a Florida Friday. They were having a fine time, and then Brad Stephens of Sunjammers Watersports pulled into the driveway with a trailer full of colorful kayaks. There were two Hobie Mirage Revolutions and eight Mirage Outbacks – one kayak for every member of the family!

“My family was shocked and happy,” says Gail. Particularly the two six-year-olds, who were excited to fly solo. “We put their MirageDrives on #1, the shortest setting, and foam pads behind their backs and off they went,” she adds. “I want to thank Hobie and Brad for the joy my family has experienced with these kayaks.”
