Happy New Year
2017 will be another busy Hobie year with at least two Hobie World Championships planned. There’s always lots of other Hobie news and regattas not far away. Stay up to date by following the IHCA website and Facebook page.

Hobie 2017 Multiworlds and European Update
The organizers have delayed the late entry fee payment until January 31, 2017.
We suggest you don’t delay in entering to avoid disappointment. As Noorwjijk is a popular destination please don’t forget to book your accommodation. The Notice of Race is on the website. Online entry makes registration quick and easy, so please don’t delay.

Australian Hobie Championships Underway
Series One of the Australian Hobie Championships has concluded. Series One was for the Hobie14 Turbo, H16 Youth, H16 Women, H16 Grand Masters, Hobie 18, Tiger and Wild Cat. The racing was very close in all the divisions. We have lots of photos of the racing. The next series will start on January 2nd for the Hobie 16 Open. The successful splitting of the series allowed sailors to be able to sail in both series, increasing participation. Series One results and photos.

The New Racing Rules of Sailing Now Apply
The new Racing Rules of Sailing went into effect on the 1st of January 2017. There are some changes to the rules. Here is a quick guide to the updates to the now current RRS. All the Racing Rules of Sailing can be found at the World Sailing (ISAF) website. Don’t get caught out in a protest room by not knowing your rules, ruining your regatta.
