As a company founded and sustained by passionate water enthusiasts, the team at Hobie intimately understands the excitement of purchasing a new Hobie and the anticipation of its arrival. Our steadfast commitment for over 70 years and counting is to design, manufacture and deliver the most innovative and reputable products in the world.
Due to a global shortage of raw materials and severe logistical challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, we are experiencing extended lead times. Headquartered in Oceanside, California, our factory is running on all cylinders 7 days a week to maximize production, while maintaining the quality the Hobie brand has been synonymous with since 1950. While product is shipping out daily to our authorized dealers, we regret that delivery times have been impacted. These global market conditions have impacted rates for fuel, transportation, inbound sea and air freight which has necessitated a 2% logistics surcharge on all boat, board, parts and accessory sales, effective July 1, 2021.
We would never want anyone to miss an opportunity to get out on the water and are doing everything within our power to get product in the hands of Hobie dealers as quickly as possible. Transparency is key and we will continue communicating updates with our Hobie dealers in real time. Despite our best efforts, there are times when we are unable to provide exact delivery dates.
